Motorized Positioner
When it comes to bringing electronic signals from a circuit to a measuring apparatus, precision mechanical devices which position and contact precisely are often used.
These assemblies are used in the semiconductor industry for research purposes or for failure analysis, among other applications. ATV developed a special motorized positioner for this purpose, which allows program-controlled contacting of signals in a movement range of 150 mm x 25 mm x 25 mm, thus enabling the testing of large-format image sensors. This is supported by a software application that has been integrated into the prober. Customers are now able to set up the probe in an additional mechanical degree of freedom, controlled by software, while reducing disturbing vibrations.
