Life cycle tests are indispensable for a high-quality product. The Association of the Printed Circuit Board Industry has developed a temperature cycling test for this purpose, which can be used to test the cycling capability of printed circuit board material. With the help of the measured change in resistance, a qualitative statement can be made about any defects that may be present due to aging in conductor track structures. This measuring system was developed to perform tests according to the recommendations of the VdL.
